Jean-Marie Dufour, a photographer passionate about Vietnam

It was in Vietnam that Jean-Marie Dufour's passion for photography began!

In 2010, he left for 9 months in Vietnam, with a first reflex (Canon 450D) in his pocket to immortalize this adventure in the service of street children. According to him it was "certainly the most beautiful playground to learn the ropes"! He really got into it, since he took nearly 20,000 photos.

In 2017, he took the plunge and became a professional photographer

After having multiplied the projects and created an association to fight against poverty in Vietnam: Helping Hand Push , it becomes professional photographer in 2017.

He touches on everything: portraits, moments of life, showcasing products with always a human perspective highlighting the sometimes forgotten beauty of everyday life!

More than a photographer, Jean-Marie is a traveler

Through his photos, Jean-Marie takes us to contemplate what we do not look at, but also to discover other countries ! He has traveled to 25 countries! Of course Vietnam is his big favorite with 6 trips to his credit.

Moreover, when you meet Jean-Marie, it is impossible not to mention this beautiful country. He marvels not only at its rice paddy landscapes, the alleys of Hoi An, the faces he meets but also at its know-how: leatherwork, basketwork, weaving...

2124 Story, its new challenge: exploring the futures of sport

He is teeming with ideas and innovative projects, his latest being: 2124Story ! In 1924 the first Olympic Games took place in Paris, see you in 2024 for the next one, but what will happen in 2124? With two other people passionate about images and discoveries, Jean-Marie tries to explore the sport of the day after tomorrow.

Thank you Jean-Marie, for putting your talent at the service of the know-how of the ethnic minorities of South East Asia.

In 2020, Jean-Marie also took time to photograph our cushion collections and thus highlight the know-how of these people that he appreciates so much .

Thank you Jean-Marie for your patience and your beautiful work, which allows these women to perpetuate their passion for weaving and to have additional income.
