Discover the Ecoprinting project
Meet Noe Noe and his inspiring journey to sustainable entrepreneurship
A difficult personal situation and meeting with Youn Sone
At Opportunity for Women , we support women like Noe Noe who demonstrate resilience and determination in the face of life's challenges.
Married and a mother of one, Noe Noe had to quit her job as a housekeeper after the birth of her daughter to focus on her family.
To improve her situation, Noe Noe joined Youn Sone in 2019 and quickly became one of the most talented and motivated seamstresses in the team. This journey allowed her to discover her passion for ecology and sustainability, more particularly in the technique of eco-printing.
What is eco-printing?
Eco -printing is a technique of creating patterns on fabrics using natural resources, such as leaves, flowers, and other plants, without resorting to chemical dyes. This ecological process allows to obtain unique prints by transferring the colors and shapes of plants onto fabrics using heat and pressure. Eco-printing is a sustainable alternative to traditional dyeing, as it respects the environment while producing aesthetic and original textile creations.
A sustainable project for his family and his community
Noe Noe now wants to turn his passion into a sustainable source of income. Here are the primary objectives of this project:
- To provide Noe Noe with financial independence as an entrepreneur.
- Producing eco-friendly fabrics for local and international markets.
- Raise awareness in the community about sustainability and promote eco-friendly products.
- Creating synergy with the urban agriculture project launched by Opportunity for Women in Myanmar

Local support for global impact
The project is overseen by Julia Naw , our coordinator in Myanmar, who ensures quality and financial management.
It is thanks to the donations received in 2024 that the eco-printing project was able to see the light of day!
This project shows how, with the right support and training, Noe Noe can create a better future for herself, her family and her community while respecting the environment.
Soon you will be able to find Noe Noe's creations!
