Context

Noe Noe, a married woman and caring mother, lives with her family in a modest neighborhood of Yangon. After leaving her job as a cleaner to care for her daughter, she faced increased precarity, particularly after her house burned down and the loss of income related to the pandemic and the political crisis. In 2019, she joined the Youn Sone program , where she emerged as one of the most talented and motivated seamstresses.

Her journey through the program has awakened in her a strong ecological awareness and the desire to develop an activity combining creativity and respect for nature.

Goals

This project aims to:

  • To offer Noe Noe the opportunity to become a self-employed entrepreneur and generate a decent income from home.

  • To raise awareness in the local community and international markets about the value of sustainable and ecological products.

  • Create a link with Fondacio’s “Integral Ecology” program, by integrating the cultivation of dye plants.
