Welcome to Dung Kno, home of the Cils ethnic group in Vietnam
Dung Kno is a small village 300 km from Ho Chi Minh, the capital of Vietnam. Here, they don't speak Vietnamese in the village, but Cils! When entering a house, they greet their host by saying "Niamsa"!
Ten weavers weave traditional village motifs, and five women still know how to dye plants. We established this weaving program with a local association.
The cotton comes from a local supplier, some of which is local, but some comes from all over Vietnam. We are working on the traceability of this cotton and hope one day to be able to encourage another cotton-growing village to replant it without chemicals or water!
The cotton threads are dyed with plants from around the village: indigo for the blue ( production video ), turmeric for the yellow, leaves whose name we do not know for the green. Other plants come from the region: roucou seeds for the orange and beetroot for the gray!
Today, women need support to structure their business, develop their skills, find opportunities and gain confidence.
We are committed to unlocking their potential through global autonomy.
Our mission is simple! We offer them not only financial stability, but also the tools they need to achieve their personal and professional aspirations.
