Description
Description
Cotton and polyester pouch, hand-woven and sewn by craftswomen in Myanmar. Made from scraps of fabric from "longyis", the traditional mixed skirt worn by the Burmese, each pouch is unique. The patterns vary according to the ethnic groups (Shan, Mon, Kachin, Chin, etc.), each with its own designs. The Kachin ethnic group, which lives in the northeast of Burma, is known for its finely woven embroidery with geometric patterns such as zigzags and diamonds.
